Academic

The Junior Section follows a stimulating and challenging programme which is closely based on the National Curriculum of England & Wales with due regard to the cultural context of Sri Lanka.

Class teachers are responsible for teaching English, Mathematics, History and Geography, while specialist subject teachers handle lessons in Computing, Science, Languages (French, Sinhala, Tamil), Art & Design, Music and Physical Education.

Individual and group projects, educational posters and other suitable materials are displayed on classroom walls to encourage pupils to produce good work and to foster a cheerful and interesting atmosphere.

Parents are kept fully informed of their child’s progress through regular reports and parent/teacher meetings.
