Classical Civilisation
Classic Civilisation is the study of ancient Greece and Rome. The immense influence of these ancient civilizations on the development of the Western culture; on its language, art, drama, philosophy, political & legal systems and architecture is inspirational.
Classical Civilisation is a multi-disciplinary subject which includes a number of different types of study, covering History, Literature and Art, which are normally separated by the curriculum. Students may therefore gain experience of the connections that exist between different intellectual disciplines. By opting to do Classical Civilisation with Science or Commerce subjects, students are exposed to a wider scope of knowledge which is widely recognised by universities.
Classical studies helps in finding careers in fields as diverse as foreign affairs, trade and industry, administration, law, archaeology, librarianship, architecture, drama and journalism.
