Introduction of Digital Art, Animation and Digital Film to Schools in Sri Lanka

Digital Art was introduced to Schools in Sri Lanka in 2001/2002 through the vision and expertise of Anushka Wirasinha a distinguished former student of Colombo International School.

Anushka Wirasinha is an internationally acclaimed author with outstanding achievements in academic life, Information Technology, Literature and Fashion.

Inaugurated in 2001/2002 the Digital Art competition which incorporates Animation and Digital Film is now a national event open to all schools throughout the country. This year (2011) selected digital art, animation and digital film exhibits will be displayed at the National Arts Club of New York City and thereafter will be exhibited at the United Nations together with other exhibits from students including Harvard University Arts and Entertainment Division Undergraduates.

The Digital Art, Animation and Digital Film competition and exhibition which is held annually in March each year is organized and directed by Computer Literate Generation of USA and conducted by the Colombo International School in Sri Lanka.

 Following are the rules and regulations of the annual competition which is open to all schools in the island.
