Lost in the Woods Infant Drama 2008-09

Hansel and Gretel followed their father deep into the dark, dark forest. They were on their way to see their step-mother who had taken a dislike to them, and did not love them as their dear mother had.
In March the Infants staged, Lost in the Woods, to a large crowd and much applause. The set was beautifully presented, the lighting superb, the choir were angelic and the performance of the 58 children who took part left us all so proud of them. The children performed superbly and their costumes really were first-class - thanks to the seemingly tireless work of our costume maker. The whole cast will be moving on to the Junior School after some wonderful years and we look forward to seeing wonderful evenings as was had by all present at this year's performance.

The audience were caught up in the play as the children tried to find their way home. Hansel's facial expressions and Gretel's sweet voice, the sadness in their father's eyes, the wicked step-mothers fury and the cackling old witch held them captive and were testament to the long hours of practice, direction and production put in by all concerned.
It was lovely to see the cast taking the curtain call and it was plain to see that they loved the applause they quite rightly received. Our thanks go to the direction and production teams, the parents who came to support us, our teachers and to all those children from other schools who came to watch our performance. Thank you.
