On the 24th and 25th February, 2024, the 22nd annual International Schools Athletics Championship was held at Sugathadasa Stadium. CIS performed astoundingly this year as well, securing five gold medals, five silver medals and seven bronze medals. The gold medalists were; Amrit Samarasinhe (Under 16 Boys) for hurdles and 400m, Anya Vithanage (Under 16 Girls) for shot put and discus throw and Sandil Hetti Arachchige (Under 16 Boys) for high jump. A special mention to Amrit Samarasinhe who earned the position of U16 Boys Champion, with his extraordinary skills and everlasting determination. The competition was intense but the resilient CIS team was indefatigable. Congratulations to all participants!
